Ballerina Girl
You are so lovely

With you standing there

I’m so aware
Of how much I care for you

You are more than now
You are for always

I can see in you
My dreams come true
Don’t you ever go away

You make me feel like
There’s nothing I can’t do

And when I hold you
I only want to say
I love you

Ballerina Girl
The joy you bring me

I guess I finally realized
There’s nothing else like loving you

Ballerina Girl
You are so lovely
I can see in you
My dreams come true
Don’t you ever go away
Ballerina Girl…
(Selected lyrics from the song of the same title popularized by Lionel Richie)
These photos are from diva-lette’s first (and only – as of the time of this post) ballet lesson. Why the stress on the “first and only”? Because we actually attempted a second lesson the following weekend but… diva-lette that she is… she threw a tantrum and walked out! (*sigh!*)
Oh well, we do have our “down days” after all, right? We might have just unfortunately caught dear daughter during one of hers…
Nevertheless, this “ballet experience” goes to show – yet again – that this kingdom never seems to run out of little surprises… and we are truly pleased and very much blessed that we can let our daughter go through this even in such an ”ultra-conservative” environment we now live in
Oh yes, even in this desert kingdom, we still manage to sway to life’s (as we know it, at least) rhythm and dance to its unique beat.
God is truly good and faithful to His promises!
And here’s to more tantrum-free ballet lessons to come!

what a cutie!
Salamat po ng marami!
Hon, naunahan mo ako ha…hehehe… I should delete the draft in my Inbox now.
Our daughter is growing up so fast. I can’t believe I was teary eyed looking at the pictures of our beautiful Ballerina. I hope we have the power to keep them as they are.
I love what you said… “even in this desert kingdom, we still manage to sway to life’s (as we know it, at least) rhythm and dance to its unique beat.” So true.
I’m looking forward to the next session. I hope next time wala na siyang diva-lette moment.
Okay lang kahit ituloy mo yung post mo para “he said, she said” yung dating, di ba? Hehehe!
I’m sure naman that no matter how varied our interpretations may be, it will still boil down to how special our children are in our eyes and how much we love them, right?
Yup, am keeping my fingers crossed that the next ballet session will not be as… ahem… painful – hahaha!
Lastly… you, “teary-eyed”? That’s one for the books! Only hope that in the future, she (and the boys too) cause us more tears of joy than otherwise. Labyu!
oh my, cutie ballerina with matching pink little pony! and those purple hello kitty shoes — are they real ballet shoes? maybe you should put on your own tutus/tights, channel your inner macuja (or keith’s inner baryshnikov), and join her in the class to encourage her.
The HK shoes are actually more pa-cute ballet shoes more than anything
Don’t want to get her the “real” (and more expensive!) shoes just yet – not until we’re very sure she’s willing and serious with the craft.
Speaking of costumes, did you know that at the height of her “diva tantrum”, she actually broached to me the
Politely declined, of course, and told her that only her teacher would be the only grown-up allowed inside (whew!). Whaddyaknow? Ninang and inaanak think alike! I should be VERY worried!!! Hahaha!
appallingidea that I “suit up” and join her in her class – que horror to the max!!!Nice shots! Marga is adorable!
Rev. Siopao’s ordination will be on the 8th of December this year. Sana nasa pinas din kayo nun para maka-attend kayo.
God bless your family!
Thanks!
As usual, “kingdom-bound” na naman kami ngayong kapaskuhan kaya di kami makakapunta sa ordination ni Rev… sayang
Di bale, we will make sure we include his intentions in our prayers… Nga pala, di na ako makabisita sa blog niya… password-protected daw… May balita ka ba bakit ganito? Updates na lang if ever.
Ingat and God bless too!
Awww, Marga looks so adorable in her ballerina get-up! When Abby was taking ballet lessons, there were days when she was just not in the mood so she’d just sit and observe. Kasi naman her ballet classes were right after her nap time. Good luck on the next ballet class!
At least Abby found it in her to sit and observe… Marga couldn’t wait to get out of the class!
Well, we’re definitely praying for better (ballet) days ahead!
And yes, why do they always seem to schedule ballet class after nap time? (*sigh*)
She’s an angel. And I hope she gets to pursue her ballet dahil, for me, she really looks like a real ballerina (she’s even prettier than Lisa Macuja). Good luck. And if Marga insists of not attending her class, ikaw na lang kaya Pinky. Para maingganyo ang angel mo. Hehe.
Thanks, Nebz! Gusto ko yung first part ng comment mo until dumating sa dulo… and then, natakot na ako – hahaha!
Am sure ganoon din reaction ng mga ballerina kapag sumabak ako sa class nila kaya huwag na lang…
