Make no mistake about it… the happiest of seasons is definitely upon us
Yessiree… even here in our little kingdom where it is officially, um, to be politically correct about it… prohibited “non-existent”, it seems that there really is no stopping this blessed season from entering the homes, hearts, minds and spirit of all those who believe!
And what better way to mark this festive and solemn occasion than by continuing on from our previous years’ family tradition, right?
Presenting… our completed “red and gold” set-up for this year!

Yup, we basically used the same decors as last year’s but with little additions here and there… Can you spot them?
First off, there’s our “chika cuddlies” – kindly “lent” to us from the, ahem, “exclusive Marga collection” – hahaha! Don’t you just feel they’re discussing something when you look at them (or is it just my very vivid imagination?)? Talking about who’s getting what, perhaps?

Was I thrilled to be able to finally find yet another makeshift skirt for our tree!
Next on the list is our “appropriately-attired” adorable boxer (yes, another part of dear divalette’s collection!)…

Finally, here’s Keith’s (and mine too!) current favorite – a red and gold Madonna and Child icon we snagged from our last holiday… just precious!

As a bonus, I’m happy that this also served as our inspiration to get back to the habit of praying the rosary together as a family (pray that we sustain the effort!)
All in all, it was another fun family bonding time for us – yipee!
God has been truly good for no matter where we are, He has always made it possible for us to feel His presence in our lives and to share the joy that comes from this to our children and hopefully, to all those we meet.
Let me be one of the very first to greet you all a meaningful “Maligayang Pasko”! And may the peace and joy of the season be with you always.

Hon, kaya ka naman pala puyat eh. I’m glad we were able to put up our snow tree already. It just makes the whole house look so festive. Our new “additions” are nice… you forgot to include Minnie, though, in your list. I wonder if other people will notice where she is (ala Larry Alcala)?
Ala Larry Alcala? That’s a good one! Hahaha!
As always, we all have you to thank for the “successful implementation” of the covert Project X!
nice, this is getting me excited about my upcoming homecoming! so what did you use now for the skirt? table cloth? shawl?
can’t help but notice keith’s comment…minnie or mickey?
The skirt? We actually made do with a shawl-like wrap (normally draped around furniture as accent) we got from Ikea. Nice ‘no?
And as for Keith’s comment… find the “hidden Minnie”!
PS Since you’d already be home for Christmas, baka you can convince Ma and Pa to change the motif of the tree naman for this year… I already told them they’re free to borrow the Christmas decors I left behind (basta i-repack lang mabuti afterwards). Post pics also once you’re done, okay? So inggit you’d be able to spend a paskong Pinoy for a change…
i’m sure the tree is already up by the time i get home. if it’s not too much of a hassle, i will change the decors…but whether i ever get to it or not, will post pics just the same.
i found the hidden minnie. for a while there, i thought you had a “mabait” in the house.
Looking forward to seeing the “Rina-fied” Camp Oz tree soon
Mabait in the house? Heaven forbid! I’m fine with the stuffed, cuddly ones… thank you very much!
so pretty!
did marga put her toys there? why oh why? to check on santa?
i’m excited to pose by our tree this year! kasama na si annika
Thanks, Tita Gracita!
Never thought of it that way ha – our little girl may be smarter than we thought in putting her “spies” to check on Santa – hohoho!
Oh yes, we are so looking forward to your tree pics with cutie Annika. Take care!
ooh, the tree is already up!
i’ll put up our tree this weekend. merry christmas! hee hee.
Merry Christmas too!
